Work From Phone

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 29 October 2026

Work From Phone lets you control your own computers from your phone. It is made by Wolff Softwares. This policy explains what the app does with your information. In short: nothing leaves your phone except the connection you start to your own computer.

What the app stores, and where

  • Your saved computers. Each one has a name, address, port, username and, if you choose, a password. These are stored only on your phone. Passwords are encrypted with a key held in your phone's secure hardware (the Android Keystore) and are never stored in plain text.
  • Trusted computer identities. When you agree to trust a computer, the app remembers its security fingerprint on your phone so it can warn you if that computer's identity ever changes.
  • Your settings. Skin, keyboard and touch preferences, stored on your phone.

Android backups are turned off for this app, so none of this is copied to Google's backup service. Uninstalling the app deletes all of it.

What the app sends, and to whom

  • To your computers only. When you connect, the app talks directly to the computer address you entered. That connection carries your sign-in details, keystrokes, mouse and touch input, clipboard text and the picture of the remote screen. It goes straight between your phone and that computer. It does not pass through any server run by us.
  • Google Play. If you buy Work From Phone Pro, Google Play handles the payment. The app only asks Google Play whether your account owns Pro. We never see your payment details. Google's own privacy policy covers that purchase.

What the app does not do

  • No accounts or sign-up.
  • No analytics, tracking, advertising or crash-reporting services.
  • No selling or sharing of data with anyone.
  • No collection of personal information by us. We have no servers that receive it.

Screen privacy

You can turn on "Hide screen from screenshots & recent apps". Android will then block screenshots and screen recordings of the remote screen, and it won't show in the recent-apps preview.

Children

The app is a general-purpose tool and is not directed at children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted at the same address with a new date.
